Microsoft Employees Disrupt Wii U Best Buy EventsRemember how Nintendo was showcasing some of their E3 games at participating Best Buy stores around the country? Well, apparently Microsoft employees have been hired to go to these events and preach about the Xbox One and make comments like "why would you buy a outdated Wii U when the Xbox One is right around the corner?"
However, the employees aren't getting what they hoped for. Most customers just start bashing the Xbox One in response. Seriously, Microsoft, the people attending these Best Buy Wii U events are people who are intimately familiar with the crap you pulled at E3. They ain't takin' your shit.
At first I thought this might just be a case of one really loyal Microsoft employee taking matters into his own hands (especially since the original source was /v/), but reports have come in from numerous Best Buy's around the country that indicate many Microsoft employees have ambushed the demo lines trying to persuade people to switch to the Xbox One.

Please Pants Responsibly (Paper Notebooks FTW)

There are two ways to write a novel. Plotting (you make an outline, a plan, a roadmap if you will, and then you sit down and write it) and pantsing (you write "by the seat of your pants, throwing caution to the wind). So when I get asked if I'm a plotter or a pantser, I'm all like er, uh, hold on, let me? Pantser? I think? But I kind of, um, do planny things?
And it gets kind of awkward because in these inarticulate moments I have managed to confuse everyone including myself. And probably spilled a drink.
In recent discussions, however, I've had a bit of a revelation, silly as it is. I've realized that I -- like many writers -- am a plotter/pantser hybrid. And perhaps what I'm doing is something we could call Pantsing Responsibly. And, maybe, just maybe, I could share some of my responsible pantsing tips with other writers. Starting with paper notebooks.

The Used Game ParadigmOver the course of this past generation I've been watching the video game market react to the way it's been forced to deal with increasing changes. I've come out against used game sales and even written a journal about boycotting GameStop because (like most people at the time) I believed they were the root cause of all the problems the video game industry has. But that's something I don't believe now as intently as i did then. From where I sit, piracy and used games sales are a problem, but not in the way game companies want us to believe that they are.
Used games are a good thing for consumers. We get to try games out, and if we don't like what we see or finish it early, we trade it in and try another title instead. It's a very good system for us since video game rentals are much harder to come by. SPIKE updatesJust thought I'd share with you guys some updates on the progress of finishing my "SPIKE" novel.

Hi All!

Thank you for all your kind words and amazing welcomes. As few enquires have been made regarding my photos I would like to mention some answers here and a quick introduction along with it.

Firstly I am a Sydney based self taught photography enthusiast who has taken up this hobby about two years ago. However passion for nature has been a life long one so you'll find most of my photos are of landscapes and nature.

Regarding post processing (Photoshop): My take on editing an image is like make-ups. (Not on me though lol) You need to have a base photo to start off with before even considering what is going to be done.
Sometimes I'd like to edit my photos more, sometimes less... I don't really restrict my self to any certain style or workflows as I feel each image often requires different approach. Having said that, I always try to get everything right in the camera such as exposures and compositions so I don't have to spend hours "correcting" an image.

Wallpaper requests/Image sizes: As I have had my photos used in a certain ways without my permission in the past, I can only offer my images at 1024 pixel large for viewing. I know that not everyone has intentions of using them any other than wallpaper or personal use but its hard for me to consider each request. Sorry!

Personal Site: I don't have one but I am considering building one in the near future.
