Stunning shot! Everything about it is wonderful. First, the cool blue colors in the BG balance out the warmer yellow lights in the foreground, creating a sort of natural frame for us. Also, the smooth flowing curves of the riverbank and bridge balance out wonderfully with the rectangular buildings in the the BG. I also love the little touch of clouds. Really nice and clear shot!

Brilliant! I have honestly no idea how to achieve such a great effect. I tried to make some photos at night but they were all blurry and ugly. And here.. everything is so sharp and the colours are astonishing. I love it!

I would typically shoot night/cityscape shots at the stage of dusk but I had to take a shot of "final night" of this day in dedication of my grandmother who passed away oversears yesturday. I actually wanted to catch the moon but it was overcast and nowhere to be seen.

achemicalreaction, I know what you mean. I've been there and gone through the same things many many times
May I suggest (if you're not doing it already) a sturdy tripod, cable release button and if your camera has the function of mirror lockup, use that as well to minimize any camera shakes and vibrations. Also, if you shoot digital, keep an eye out on preview image to avoid the blowout areas.
